He was born in 1935 in Taganrog.

Since 1948 he was trained in the Valentina Grigorieva art studio of the House of pioneers in Taganrog.

In 1957 he has graduated from the M. Grekov Rostov art school.

From 1961 to 1967 he studied at the graphics faculty of the Kyiv State art institute.

In 1966 he became the junior art editor of publishing house "Molod". Actively cooperates with book publishing houses of Ukraine.

Since 1955 – he is a participant of the regional, since 1969 – the republican, since 1967 – the all-Union art exhibitions.

Since 1970 he is a member of the Artists Union of USSR (nowadays – the member of the Artists Union of Ukraine).

V. Malinka is an illustrator of the children's book, a watercolorist, and a painter. His picturesque paintings are the fruit of deep reflections above the sense of the life and his applicability in this life.
