Nadiya was born on January,3 1968 in Romny, Sumy region.

She considers her mother Katherina Andriyivna, to be her spiritual teacher.

Nobody from the near-by villages could sing and embroider better than her mother could.

It was she who became Nadia’s first teacher in drawing when the girl was six.

Picturesque nature inspired has skill.

Then o famous teacher of drawing from Sumy V. Vlasov taught her to paint. He was the first who saw that she would be a painter. He supported her all those years. “You must think much about yourself as a painter and paint, paint!’’- He said. And she tried to be true to it.

In 1983 she left secondary school.

From 1983 till 1987 she was a student of the vocational college and was going to be a house-painter.

Then she worked at a curtain lace factory as a designer of new patterns of pictures which were used in the production.

In spite of the fact that she raised her qualification and succeeded in it she left her job and decided to give herself completely to painting.

The young painter takes an active part in art life of the town and the region, takes part in the local, regional and republic exhibitions.

Her personal exhibitions in the Kyiv Shevchenko Museum, in the Ukrainian House and in other exhibitions were also great success.

Her works were highly appreciated by the audience, by art critics and by journalists.

The fame about the gifted enchantress of the paint-brush from the town on the balks of the Sula, crossed the borders of Ukraine.

Her name became known among the art circles of the Ukrainian Diaspora of the USA, Canade, France, Germania and Czechia.

Here is the comment of a famous art critic from France Doctor V. Popovich : “ Nadia Poluyan-Vnukova has a very good, exact and accurate drawing and free and natural compositions.

The artist can find peculiar beauty, hidden in each subject and reveals it to the spectators with pleasure.

Her stile is realism, but not dry, bare or listless. Poluyan-Vnukova’s realism is rilically surrounded without inclination for fantasy or for artificial depiction of the world. Her hitherto artistic creative work, without any doubt, is worth high recognition for her frankness and seriousness”.

Nadia is a member of the National Union of Painters from 2004.

She married and has two sons- Yevhen and Oles.
