Boris was born in 1947 in Ukraine.

Studied at the Kiev art school. Got the technical education at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute.

For many years he combined painting with engineering activity.

However, changes happened in the country allowed to devote himself completely to the art on professional basis: design, decoration of interiors, creation of picturesque canvases and graphic sheets.

More than 17 years Boris Markov lived and worked in the Far North.

For this reason northern motives occupy an important place in his art.

In the city of Nadym of the Tyumen region he created and has headed association of artists at the city exhibition center, took part in numerous exhibitions in Tyumen, Sverdlovsk, Nadym.

Artworks of Boris Markov are in private collections of Ukraine, Russia, Canada, USA, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Luxembourg, etc.

Boris Markov is a member of the Kiev Union of Book Artists; he is an active participant of the creative association "Gold palette".

Artworks are on permanent exhibition in the gallery "Globus".
