Vyacheslav Lubenskiy – PhD in Art Criticism, the artist and the teacher.

23 personal and 12 republican (1 all-Union) art exhibitions.

The award of the republican competition of publishing house The Art for an art card (Kiev, 1969).

Was born on May, 18th, 1939 in Grajvorone of the Belgorod region.

Has graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Kiev Construction Institute (1963).

He has started his art biography as the architect (1963-1964) and the designer (1964-1976).

Simultaneously (since 1963) he had been working as the artist of book graphics.

1974 – acquaintance with Svetoslav Roerich in Moscow at his Anniversary Exhibition in the Tretyakov Gallery.

1975-1993 - work on the Roerich’s portraits.

In 1974 Lubensky has been examined on the PhD thesis on a technique of applied art in the Moscow Art and Industry Higher College (former Stroganovskiy). For this scientific work the scientific degree of the PhD in Art Criticism has been conferred on him.

1976-1978 – lectured on the Chair of Drawing in the Kiev Construction Institute.

1976-1981 – years of study as the auditor at the Kiev State Art Institute and Art Studios of the Academy of Arts of the USSR in Kiev (under the leadership of the academician of painting Grigoriev S.A.). .

1981-1984 - The artist made 4 art creative trips across Siberia and the Far East.

1982-1990 – taught drawing, painting and layer anatomy in the Kiev State Art Institute.

Since 1985 he was combining lectures with a post of the scientific and methodical laboratory manager on the Chair of Drawing of the Kiev State Art Institute.

1993 – The publication It is impossible to forget his eyes (history of one portrait) in the newspaper Kiev News №32 from 06.08.93.

Exhibitions with an exposition of the Roerich’s portraits:

1993 – the Kiev Museum of Russian Art at the Personal Exhibition of Lubenskiy;

1999 – the Ukrainian House at the Anniversary Exhibition of the author;

1999 – the Ukrainian House at Roerich's Exhibition.

Some works of the author are purchased by the Ministry of Culture and Art Fund of Ukraine.

Many can be found in museums, private collections in Ukraine and abroad.


Artworks are on permanent exhibition in the gallery "Globus".

Awarded by the diploma for the participation in the Exhibition "Blessing" (Project № 40, Berlin).

Awarded by the diploma for the participation in the 6th Art Festival "Blessing" (Project № 40, Magdeburg).

Participant of the Project № 62 "Aviart-2012".
