She has graduated from the Republican Art high school (RAHS) and in 1992 she has entered in the Kiev Polytechnic Academy on the faculty "Graphics".
After leaving school and during training in the institute she was engaged in easel painting. In 1996 she has graduated from the institute and she has remained a painter.
In 2000 she became a member of the Artists Union of Ukraine.
From 1996 to 2002 she took part in many All-Ukrainian exhibitions "Picturesque Ukraine".
Now Irene Cherkasova has devoted herself to beauty of native land, its abundance and variety. In her works she would like to transmit "warm of all real".
The artist works in styles “the mystical realism” and “associative avant-garde”. Her works are in private collections of Canada, Germany, France, Czech, Slovakia, and Russia.
Artworks are on permanent exhibition in the gallery "Globus".
