He was born in Olekseyevka, Belgorod region.
1968 – he finished art school in Ivanovo in the speciality of painter.
1970 – his first personal exhibition in Ukrainsk, Donetsk region.
1978 – his first participation in the republican exhibition.
1981 – he graduated from the Printing Institute in L’vov in the speciality of graphic artist in book design and illustration.
1982 – his first personal exhibition in L’vov.
1981-1986 – the participation in a variety of regional, republican and All-Union art exhibitions.
1985-1986 – his personal exhibition in L’vov, Kyiv, Moscow.
1986 – he became a member of the Artists Union of Ukraine.
1987 – he was a participant of the group exhibition of L’vov artists in Poland.
1988 – the participant of All-Poland open-air in Przemysl.
In this year he visited Northern Korea as a member of the delegation.
1990 – the participant of the group exhibition of the Ukrainian artists in "The Autumn Salon – 90" in Paris.
1990 – his personal exhibition of graphic works in Germany, Bernau.
1991-1992 – the participant of the group exhibition of the Ukrainian artists in Japan.
1993- his personal exhibition of painting and graphic works in Toronto, Canada.
1994-1995 – he painted 12 frescos in St. Josaphat's cathedral in Toronto.
1997 – his personal art exhibition in Naples, Italy.
V. Slepchenko is a diplomant at the festivals and competitions, a winner of the regional and republican prizes. Art and graphic Vladimir Slepchenko’s works are in the museums of L’vov, Kyiv, Bratislava, Tel Aviv, Bernau (Germany), Russia as well as in the consulate-general of Ukraine in Toronto, state and administrative offices and private collections in many countries of the world.
Since 1995 V. Slepchenko is a founder and chairman of the Regional Beneficial Fund named after the poetess Natalya Davydovska. Since 1997 he is a deputy chairman of the Society "L’vov – 21 century".
