Alexander was born on July, 23rd, 1947 in Konotop, Sumy Region, in a family of the known deserved artist of Ukraine Vladimir Masik.

From 1957 till 1965 Alexander studied at the Republican Art School in Kiev.

Afterwards throughout 6 years he had been studying in the Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture where his teachers were well-known artists - Trohimenko, Plamenitsky, Sirotenko, Ljashchuk.

The artist successfully works in oil and temper painting, draws pastel, knows technique of etching, linocut and xylographie.

Alexander has already carried out 2 all-Union, 32 republican and 14 personal exhibitions in Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, China and the USA in galleries of New York, Colorado Springs, Tucson and Los Angeles.

His works are in private collections of Canada, USA, Belgium, England, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Morocco, Hungary, France, Japan, Egypt, China.
